FGCU Veterans Pavilion Dedication


On September 6th 2013 Florida Gulf Coast University held a dedication ceremony for the newly completed Veterans Pavilion that sits on the Library Lawn.


The Pavilion is a product of a three year effort by FGCU’s Student Government. The purpose of the Veterans Pavilion is to honor students, faculty and staff who have served in the military as well as honoring all of the veterans who have served.




Member of the state Board of Governors, former chair of the FGCU Board of Trustees, and former Army captain Ed Morton spoke about the Revolutionary War and the sacrifices that were made so that we could have the freedoms we have today.
